After competing in last year’s marathon, Dan shaved another minute off his time in yesterday’s (24th April) event to finish in a time of 4 hours 45 minutes despite suffering a setback.
Dan explained: “Things were going well with a very fast 2.07 half marathon, but my running mate’s knee went at mile 17 and he had to hobble through the final nine miles. Times went out of the window, as I just wanted to get him home through his first marathon, so I was really surprised when we still beat last year’s time.”
