Fleetclear names new chief technical officer

Vehicle safety technology and software solutions company Fleetclear has appointed Chris Waller as its chief technical officer (CTO).

Fleetclear has promoted technical director Chris Waller to the role of chief technical officer

Waller was promoted from his former position as technical director. He joined the company in 2008, age 19, and has become an integral part of the senior management team.

As CTO, Waller will assume additional responsibilities around the strategic direction of the company and help to further establish Fleetclear in the future as a Technology company.

Gavin Thoday, chief executive officer at Fleetclear, said: “It is very much part of our culture and ethos to nurture our staff members and promote from within wherever possible. Chris has been a constant source of inspiration to me and others in the team. His continuous hard work, application and tenacity have earned him this career progression and I know I speak on behalf of everyone at Fleetclear when I congratulate him on his well-deserved promotion.”

Chris Waller added: “I’m proud to be part of such an incredible team and thank everyone that has contributed to making Fleetclear what it is today. I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead and focusing my efforts on the continued growth of the business.”

Fleetclear was founded over a decade ago as Innovative Safety Systems Ltd (ISS) and recently rebranded. It’s evolved from a leading vehicle safety and technology manufacturer into a complete fleet solution provider with an end-to-end solution for all fleet operators.

Solutions include the Cyclear cyclist safety warning device, anti-rollaway and driver ID technology, camera recording systems and reverse radar, plus the recently launched Fleetclear Connect web-based fleet management software system, which provides a simplified, user-friendly way to manage vehicles and drivers.
