Fleets & drivers invited to have input on future EV incentives

The survey is being conducted by the Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence at the School of Engineering at Cardiff University and forms part of a European-wide project, the Incentives for Cleaner Vehicles in Urban Europe (I-CVUE), which is focused on the challenge of reducing greenhouse emissions in Europe through increased uptake of EVs.

As part of the project, the survey on ‘Establishing the Transferability of Best Practice in EV Policy across European Borders’ is being held to gather evidence of how various incentives influence upon EV uptake to see what works and how this could be replicated in the UK.

The results will form the basis of a paper due out in autumn 2015 and will also be disseminated at the Transport Research Association conference in 2016.

Anyone who is involved the promotion and/or uptake of EVs can take part in the survey, which will take about 15 minutes to complete. Participants – who so far have included the UK OLEV – can also remain anonymous, with no responses to be attributed without approval.

The survey will be followed up with semi-structured interviews and also a workshop.
