FMG kits out mobile repair vans with advanced diagnostic solutions

FMG Repair Services has upgraded its mobile repair vans with advanced vehicle diagnostics and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) recalibration equipment.

The new technology will streamline mobile repairs for fleets and drivers

This new technology, provided through a collaboration with diagnostics specialist A1 ADAS Solutions Group, will help streamline mobile repairs by removing the requirement for external diagnostics reports.

The new devices enable FMG’s mobile repair technicians to carry out comprehensive vehicle scans both before and after repairs This will eliminate the need for third-party service providers to perform diagnostics scans.

The equipment also allows technicians to perform ADAS recalibration independently post-repair, further reducing vehicle downtime.

FMG Repair Services operations director Carl Manton – who leads the transformation programme at FMG Repair Services, said: “Our mobile repair technicians are highly skilled in all facets of vehicle repair, and by equipping them with the latest technology, we can enhance the customer experience, making mobile repairs faster and more seamless.”

FMG carries out mobile repairs using dynamic mobile repair pods at the driver’s home or workplace, addressing damage to up to four panels and typically completing the work within three to four hours. Work can be carried out on medium wheelbase and low-roof LCVs, and solutions include light clusters, wings, bumpers, supported by onboard colour match paint technology.
