Ford and ALD go live with new ‘one-stop shop’ fleet management business

Ford and ALD have officially launched their new leasing and fleet management business in the UK, covering car and commercial vehicle operators and available on a multi-make basis.

John Wright, managing director, Ford Fleet Management UK

The tie-up, announced five months ago, provides a one-stop shop for leasing and fleet management services, dubbed Ford Fleet Management and launching first in the UK but expanding later in Europe.

The new business will provide a full range of fleet services, focused on helping fleets to maximise productivity and uptime, and underpinned by tailored products and services, plus a dedicated team of experts across the UK with a “customer-centric and solution-focused approach”.

This provides customers with a one-stop shop solution for vehicle supply, funding and in-life vehicle management covering a number of brands – in addition to the Ford range, any passenger or light commercial vehicle from other brands can be supplied.

It’s headed up by managing director John Wright who said: “We know companies rely on vehicles and drivers being out on the road – performing tasks, moving goods and carrying people, so our fleet management propositions are designed to ensure fleet vehicles are working for their business at all times. This is why our uptime centric approach is at the heart of all of our products and services, and our experts are ready with fleet solutions tailored to meet every business need.”

Stuart Williams, head of corporate sales, outlined that the focus will be on engaging with UK businesses who want to see if their fleets can be operated more efficiently.

“We consider that when we network one-to-one, our sales team will always be able to deliver the most useful and bespoke solutions to all of our customers,” he said. “One size does not fit all in our experience, and we have the expertise to deliver optimised solutions for each individual customers’ needs. We haven’t re-invented the wheel, but what we have done is create a modern, efficient and customer-focused fleet management services company that manages vehicle uptime for its customers.”

And the business is inviting all those whose interest has been piqued to have an initial chat to find out how Ford Fleet Management can help them.

“We invite everyone who wants to see how this looks in practice for an informal discussion in the course of which we will show you the Ford Fleet Management difference,” said John Wright.
