Ford Pro’s Special Vehicle Team – the brains behind bespoke vehicle conversions – have transformed the panel van into a fully functional, mobile sauna for “post-wild swim relaxation”.

The ‘E-Sauna’ is powered by the E-Transit’s built-in Pro Power Onboard system – meaning it can be deployed virtually anywhere without the need for external power hook-ups.

It’s the same technology that’s able to power up electric tools, lights, laptops, passenger entertainment and other devices – providing an integrated mobile power source, with a 2.3kW (10 amp) supply delivered directly from the vehicle battery.

And with a range of up to 196 miles, the E-Sauna could even make a return trip from the UK’s furthest point from the sea – Coton in the Elms in Derbyshire, a mere 70 miles to the coast – without needing a recharge.

The E-Transit Sauna Van has already been “making waves” at Longside Lake in Surrey, where wild swimming enthusiasts have been putting it through its paces.

And the E-Sauna is also heading to various locations around the UK this spring, so keep your eyes peeled for some hot takes.
