Ford Pro Power Promise delivers package of benefits to help van fleets electrify

Ford Pro is introducing its Power Promise for commercial vehicle customers, delivering a package of benefits to make switching to electric vans much simpler.

The Ford Pro Power Promise is included with the sale of every new E-Transit, E-Transit Custom and E-Transit Courier

Announced at the CV Show 2025, the new bundle of benefits delivers cost-effective charging and no-nonsense solutions to directly address concerns of businesses undecided on electric vans.

Building on Ford Pro’s home charging offer launched in 2024, the package provides a discounted home charger costing just £10, or an £825 contribution towards a charging installation at a commercial premises; free five-year service and roadside assistance plan; eight-year high-voltage battery warranty; 12-month free vehicle management software and access to Ford’s BlueOval Charge Network (BOCN) – all included with the sale of every new E-Transit, E-Transit Custom and E-Transit Courier to make switching seamless and stress-free.

Alternatively, for customers who do not have the ability to install a home charger and don’t need depot charging, a £500 saving on any eligible vehicle purchase will be offered.

Ford-commissioned research shows UK businesses stand to save almost £12,000 per van over three years by switching to electric, mainly through reduced energy and maintenance costs.

Despite the potential savings, the report also found many businesses are lacking the confidence to make the switch. Charging times (38% of respondents), availability of public charging (29%) and the cost of installing charging infrastructure (28%) ranked high on the list of concerns.

The Ford Pro Power Promise is designed to ease those worries and many more – giving hard-working business owners the confidence to transition their fleets to benefit from productivity-boosting electric power.

Mandy Dean, commercial vehicle director, Ford of Britain and Ireland, said: “Switching to an electric van does not need to feel like a step into the unknown. Ford is committed to helping businesses big and small understand the benefits that our new generation of connected electric vans can deliver.

“Now, our Ford Pro Power Promise goes even further, with no-nonsense solutions that will boost confidence for businesses on the fence, and make the transition to electric seamless and stress-free, so they can concentrate on getting the job done.”

In addition to the Ford Pro Power Promise, the company offers commercial customers further services designed to ease the transition to electric vans. Ford Pro’s E-Switch Assist tool compares the energy consumption of diesel-powered vehicles with the estimated energy needs of comparable electric vehicles before recommending which diesel-powered vehicles are suitable to switch. It accounts for distance driven, cargo load, vehicle efficiency, terrain, driver-specific behaviour, external climate, and cabin heating load.

Ford also recently announced the launch of its Power Promise campaign for its electric cars, supporting drivers to make the switch to the Explorer, Capri, Puma Gen-E, Mustang Mach-E, E-Tourneo Custom and E-Tourneo Courier.
