Users of the FordPass mobility app can now access a new UK-wide hourly van hire feature, available 24/7 through Hertz and intended to facilitate the transportation of bulky home purchases.
The service offers access to 230 vans located at superstores across the country including B&Q, Bunnings, Costco and IKEA.
Prices start at £13 per hour with Ford and Hertz offering £10 credit to FordPass customers for their first Hertz 24/7 rental.
Fabrice Genty, senior director, car sharing operations, Hertz Europe, said: “Our Hertz 24/7 hourly van rental service represents a hassle-free, self-delivery option for all our members shopping at the various superstore retailers we partner with. We are confident that FordPass customers will enjoy the seamless access to Hertz 24/7’s enrolment process and the service’s convenience.”
Ford’s one-stop mobility app also offers other features including service booking, the ability to find fuel and compare pricing, live traffic updates and info on parking locations and costs through NCP.
