FORS to run nationwide briefings

FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, is to run a new series of briefings at key locations across the UK to provide members with updates on its latest activity and ongoing industry issues.

More than 120 FORS members attended the first set of briefings

The first set of briefings took place in May and June in Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, London, Manchester and Peterborough, and saw swift uptake of places.

The organisation is now planning a further six events at locations across the country throughout the autumn, covering:

  • Birmingham – 5 November
  • Bristol – 6 November
  • London – 7 November
  • Newcastle – 19 November
  • Edinburgh – 20 November
  • Crumlin – 22 November

The first set of briefings was presented by Graham Holder, FORS head of quality assurance and compliance, and saw members learn about the role of the FORS Community Partnership, FORS membership distribution and statistics, FORS training and compliance updates. Members were also given a heads-up on the introduction of version 5.0 of the FORS Standard, due to be launched at the FORS annual Members Conference in October for implementation in early 2019.
