Fraikin puts focus on maintenance offering under new appointment

Mark Kellett has joined Fraikin as its new national engineering manager, charged with driving the company’s maintenance offering across the UK.

Kellett previously worked for the commercial fleet services company for more than a decade, winding up as head of engineering, and returns after spending three years in the same role at Specialist Fleet Services.

Kellett said: “Engineering is my passion, I’ve been working on that side of the industry my entire career, it’s certainly where my expertise lies. An important part of my new role is to improve the internalisation of our maintenance offering, building our workshop and mobile network so that we are able to continue offering our customers unrivalled levels of support.

Fraikin has already placed focus on its maintenance support during the pandemic; May saw it add additional vans and technicians to its mobile maintenance network, ensuring a swift response to customers’ defect repairs and routine maintenance to bring maximum uptime.

Kellett continued: “From what I’ve seen the business has been firing on all cylinders during the coronavirus outbreak, the workshops have been open and working hard to support our customers – all of the maintenance teams have adapted well. It has to be said I’m really enjoying coming into work every day to see what new challenges await.”
