Members of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) are to be offered free software from FleetCheck to help them undergo remote audits during lockdown.

The voluntary accreditation scheme has announced that all participants who are due to be audited before the end of January will have to undergo the process using either electronic evidence or even by holding printed information up to camera on a video-conferencing call.

To help support them, FleetCheck is making its FORS-FMS software free to members for this period to all members not currently using it.

Also, its free FORS Fleet Tools package has been enhanced with a Bronze FORS checklist, helping to make it easier for fleets to identify what needs sorting.

FleetCheck managing director Peter Golding said: “The aim is to support operators who will have to undergo remote audits during the next few months. Having the information formatted in a manner designed alongside FORS really does make the process simpler.”
