FTA platform to help members spark new connections

A new online member-to-member platform is now available from the FTA to support businesses across the industry through the Covid-19 outbreak.

FTA
The platform provides two forums where members can post about available workers or vehicle capacity and any needs for fleet resources

Launched as the FTA also waives its joining fee in April, the website enables members to link with businesses in need of logistics staff or fleet resources with available workers or vehicle capacity, and further develops the association’s #LogisticsHelpsLogistics campaign – which used the hashtag to connect businesses via social media.

Kevin Green, director of marketing & communications, said: “With the social media campaign reaching more than 1.3 million logistics workers within just five days, we are confident the launch of FTA’s dedicated member portal will make a significant difference in helping to keep goods moving across the UK during the outbreak. If you have personnel or fleet resources available for hire, or alternatively you are looking to fill a shortage of workers or vehicles, we urge you to visit the online member platforms and connect with your industry peers.”

The forum is for FTA members, but new organisations can join for free until 30 April 2020.
