FTA Van Excellence briefings to focus on ramifications of fleet driver actions

The three events are scheduled to take place in April this year and will examine the ramifications – often serious and sometimes catastrophic – of something going wrong, and will look at the strategies and processes operators could and should be putting in place to measure, manage and reduce the risk and impact of shortfalls.

Mark Cartwright, FTA’s head of vans, said: “Many people behind the wheel of a van probably use their vehicle as a mobile toolbox. The likelihood is they think of themselves first and foremost as plumbers, electricians or civil engineers, and the chances are they don’t think of themselves as drivers. But they are still commercial drivers in the eyes of the law.”

The events are taking place on:

  • Tuesday 5 April at JCB World, Rocester, Staffordshire
  • Thursday 7 April at Mercedes-Benz World, Weybridge Surrey
  • Thursday 14 April at Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort near Glasgow.

Subscribers to the Van Excellence Governance Group, Van Excellence accredited operators and Guide to Van Excellence get one free place at the Van Excellence briefings. The cost of further places and for all other delegates is £50 plus VAT per delegate, or 10 places for £200.
