Fully electric Citroën ë-Berlingo van officially launches

Citroën’s all-electric ë-Berlingo van has received its commercial launch in the UK, completing the brand’s core electric LCV range.

The ë-Berlingo van is priced from £25,980 for the M panel van variant

It’s priced from £25,980 (incl. latest Plug-in Van Grant and excl. VAT) and available either as a panel van or a crew van able to transport cargo and up to five people.

The sister vehicle to the Vauxhall Combo-e and Peugeot e-Partner, the ë-Berlingo van uses a 50kWh battery connected to a 136hp electric motor with up to 260Nm of torque.

Official WLTP range stands at up to 171 miles under WLTP testing and the ë-Berlingo van supports up to 100kW rapid charging – with a 0-80% charge taking some 30 minutes.

All versions also feature a 7.4kW single-phase on-board charger as standard and come with a ‘Mode 3’ charging cable with ‘Type 2’ connectors.

Panel van versions have a choice of two different body lengths – M and XL – while the crew van is solely available as an XL. M models measure 4.4m long and XL variants come in at 4.75m. All versions are 1.9m high and have a turning circle of 10.8m (11.4m for the XL crew van).

The M version of the panel van bring load volumes from 3.3m3 to 3.9m3 with the Extenso seat folded – and can carry loads of up to 3.09m in length and with a maximum payload of 803kg.

XL variants offer an increased available load volume of 3.8m3 to 4.4m3, along with a 3.44m maximum load length with the Extenso seat folded down, and a maximum payload of 751kg.

Drivers have the choice of three operating modes: Normal, Eco and Power. The ë-Berlingo Van also features regenerative braking, with drivers able to activate a ‘B’ button via the central console to maximise energy recovery during braking.

Two trim levels are offered: Enterprise Pro and Driver Pro. The entry-level Enterprise Pro trim is available on both M and XL panel van versions and on the crew van. Driver Pro trim is offered exclusively on the M panel van.

The Enterprise Pro trim comes as standard with electrically operated folding door mirrors, rear parking sensors and automatic headlights, plus cruise control with programmable speed limiter. The interior features Citroën’s Extenso modular folding passenger bench seat and both panel van and crew van Enterprise Pro models also feature an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Citroën Connect DAB radio, Bluetooth and USB sockets.

Top-of-the-range Drive Pro models gain 16-inch black alloy wheels and a ‘Look Pack’ featuring a body-coloured rear bumper, side rubbing strips and exterior door handles. The upgraded infotainment package includes Citroën Connect Navigation with a three-year subscription to live traffic alerts. The Citroën Connect Box Emergency & Assistance system is also included. Technology upgrades for Driver Pro variants bring Surround Rear Vision, front and rear parking sensors, as well as side and rear cameras.
