Specialised plant and welfare facilities supplier Garic Ltd has become the  200th company to achieve FORS Gold accreditation

FORS Gold recognises operators for deploying best practice fleet wide, including promoting the FORS Standard throughout the supply chain.

The company, headquartered in Bury, Greater Manchester, runs a 50-strong fleet of HGVs and vans, and became a FORS Bronze member after hearing of the scheme while working on Crossrail.

Garic has progressed from FORS Bronze to FORS Silver and now FORS Gold accreditation by optimising the benefits of FORS accreditation, including FORS Professional training. It has also used FORS’ eLearning modules to train drivers, and deployed toolbox talks to communicate industry updates to the fleet.

Mark Booth, Garic’s transport manager, said: “Receiving FORS Gold is a fantastic achievement and reflects the level of professionalism and commitment of our in-house transport operations.

“There are very few competitors within our industry who have this level of recognition and we’ll be very proud to display the FORS Gold logo on our fleet.”
