Garmin & VeriLocation partner for Android-based telematics & navigation device

Featuring a rugged dust-proof design, built-in Bluetooth, Wifi and NFC capabilities, high-sensitivity GPS, extra loud speaker, and a sunlight readable, 6-inch capacitive touch screen, the Fleet 660 and 670 have been fully optimised for both in-cab and hand-held fleet use and mark the launch of Verilocation’s driver Dashboard application.

Revealed at the recent CV Show 2014, the application offers fleets a customisable and cost-effective fleet management solution aimed at maximising operational efficiency through improved vehicle utilisation and workforce productivity. It combines VOSA regulated vehicle checks, GPS tracking, driver identification, two-way messaging, integrated job-push and satellite navigation, ePOD signature capture and real-time CANbus driving performance feedback.

VeriLocation added that its vision for the Dashboard is to streamline the offering for in-cab telematics/navigation solutions and provide fleets with one cost-effective fleet management solution which will see immediate and long-lasting ROI through lowered fuel costs, improved driver safety and greater workforce productivity.

Future updates to the application will see the integration of PTO/temperature sensor information, Tachograph hours, external camera feeds and a unique tyre pressure monitoring system.
