Geotab has unveiled its new suite of fleet safety tools as well as an artificial intelligence co-pilot designed for fleets.
Unveiled at the 2024 Geotab Connect event in Las Vegas, the new solutions bring next-generation advancements in the fields of fleet safety and management.
The Geotab Ace artificial intelligence co-pilot has been expressly designed for fleets and is said to be the first fully integrated trusted generative ai co-pilot in the industry.
Available directly in the MyGeotab platform, it can provide “powerful, customised and trustworthy” fleet insights simply by asking a question. It’s designed to help vehicle operators significantly reduce the time taken to gain insights, access customised data reflections that are tailored to their specific needs thanks to its direct integration, while also providing enhanced capacity for making data-driven decisions.
It covers a wide array of data, including predictive safety analytics, predictive maintenance, trip data, zone activity, electric vehicle statistics, exception events, GPS tracking, and more. This allows it to provide nuanced answers to a broader range of complex questions while remembering past interactions to improve future responses.
It’s been developed on the back of Geotab’s collaboration with customers over the course of 2023 for the Project G initiative. This beta generative AI project gathered real-time feedback and input on challenges and high-level value features.
“Geotab Ace represents not just an evolution in fleet management, but the next step in harnessing the power of trusted data,” said Mike Branch, VP of data & analytics at Geotab. “By bringing the intuitive simplicity of conversational AI directly into the Geotab platform, we are transforming the way fleets interact with their data, crafting a future where insights are immediate, intelligent, and instrumental to success.”
AI-driven tool to provide centre of safety excellence
Geotab also used its Connect event to debut its suite of next-generation AI-driven safety tools.
Dubbed the Geotab Safety Center, it leverages data intelligence, predictive collision insights and AI to deliver enhanced visibility into fleet risk.
Part of the MyGeotab platform, the Safety Center enables fleet and safety managers to easily uncover and manage fleet performance risks, focusing their time on coaching and making operational decisions based on objective data, predictive collision analytics and peer fleet benchmarking.
This builds on the safety tools available from Geotab, which include its risk event reports, safety scorecard, video telematics, asset tracking, Active Insights, Geotab Data Connector (GDC), SDK and Marketplace risk management solutions.
Geotab also revealed its Enhanced Collision Detection feature at its Connect event. Part of its 2024 safety suite of tools, this new solution will advance how fleets can detect both major and minor collisions, increasing collision detection precision and accuracy.
Sabina Martin, vice president product management at Geotab, said: “In a data-driven world, immediacy and precision of insights are paramount. Our new centres of excellence, including Geotab Safety Center, represent the next evolution in our commitment to providing actionable intelligence easily and efficiently.”
The Safety Center is one of several new centres of excellence that will be launched in MyGeotab throughout 2024 utilising AI and data intelligence to provide faster time-to-insight for customers.
