Get a Ford Pro Home Charging bundle for a tenner in new limited-time offer

Businesses buying a new electric van from Ford can now receive a Ford Pro Home Charging bundle for just a tenner.

The limited-time offer bundles in a home charge point, installation, a five-year hardware warranty and a year’s access to Ford Pro home charging software for £10

The limited-time offer bundles in a home charge point, installation, a five-year hardware warranty and a year’s access to Ford Pro home charging software for £10 when buying a new electric Ford van. The package would normally cost £999 (incl. VAT).

The offer is available with the E-Transit Custom – the all-new, electric version of the UK’s best-selling van (see road test here) – as well as the E-Transit large van (reviewed here) and is available until 31 December 2024.

The ‘Spend £10, Save Hundreds’ offer is designed to help tradespeople – who often charge at home – to benefit from the same electric productivity boost increasingly being realised by large fleets.

The charging offer also comes on top of the UK Plug‑In Van Grant, contributing up to £5,000 towards the cost of a new electric van.

Mandy Dean, director, commercial vehicles, Ford of Britain and Ireland, said: “A tough business climate and the switch to electrification mean our customers need all the help they can get. Our new bundled billing offer can save time and money for businesses going electric, and Ford Pro’s full support under one roof can help every kind of customer work out what the best solution for them looks like.”

Ford Pro’s Home Charging all-in-one solution of software, hardware, installation and aftercare is designed to support the many customers – and in particular small businesses – who recharge work vehicles at home. The home charger offers up to 22kW charge speed and 4G connection to enable charge scheduling for cheaper energy, as well as sending notifications including alerting the driver if the vehicle is not plugged in when it should be.

By offering charge scheduling, Ford Pro Charging’s connected charger enables users with an EV tariff and cheaper overnight rates to recharge their van for potentially less than half the usual cost. Drivers can also monitor their energy use and receive Ford Pro aftersales support.

Ford Pro Charging’s support extends beyond home charging; customers taking longer trips can also access over 800,000 public chargers as part of the BlueOval Charge Network – one of the largest of its kind in Europe.

Ford Pro’s all-new E‑Transit Custom and simple charging and financing are designed to make the benefits of electrification attainable for smaller firms and sole traders.

A May 2024 report by the Centre for Economic and Business Research found 13% of respondents from large fleets drove electric vans, compared to just 2.2% of sole traders.

The report also found that the lower energy and maintenance costs of an electric van could save a van operator in the UK over £11,500 compared to a diesel equivalent van for a typical three-year ownership period. At the current 24.5 pence/kWh Ofgem price cap on a standard variable tariff and paying direct debit, a full recharge of E‑Transit Custom would cost just £15.68 for up to 209 miles of electric driving.

Alongside the fully electric E-Transit and E-Transit Custom, Ford also offers the E-Transit Courier, Transit Connect PHEV and the Transit Custom PHEV.
