Global debut for Vauxhall’s Movano-e and Combo-e electric vans at CV Show

Vauxhall is to return to the Commercial Vehicle Show with the world premiere of the Combo-e and Movano-e electric vans plus the UK debut of the Vivaro-e Hydrogen.

Vauxhall’s full electric van range will be on display at the CV Show

At the show, which is being held at the Birmingham NEC from 31 August to 2 September, Vauxhall will show how it’s able to offer a fully electric version of every van in its line-up.

For the Movano, the new model marks the third generation of the van and the first time that an electric variant has been offered. The Movano-e brings a cargo volume of up to 17m3, while its zero-emission powertrain offers up to 139 miles of range (WLTP).

It’ll be joined at the show by the Combo-e, which builds on the success of the petrol and diesel variants success winning 2019 International Van of the Year. With a 50kWh battery providing a range of 171 miles (WLTP) combined with a load volume of 4.4m3, the Combo-e is a practical, compact electric van suitable for both businesses and private users.

Making its UK debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show will be the new Vivaro-e Hydrogen, which will uses fuel cell technology to bring a 249-mile range and refuelling in as little as three minutes, along with cargo volume of up to 6.1m3.

It will arrive in LHD markets from the end of 2021 and the UK in RHD from early 2023; although Vauxhall is already speaking to corporate fleets ahead of its UK launch.

Also on display will be the Vivaro-e that launched in July 2020 while the Vivaro-e Platform Cab Concept will make its debut at the CV Show. It’s been developed in partnership with Paneltex and targets supermarkets and retailers looking at short-cycle home delivery in urban areas within one to two hours.
