Go Plant Fleet Services to accelerate growth with new £13.5m funding

Specialist commercial vehicle provider Go Plant Fleet Services is planning for further growth after winning £13.5m of backing from Secure Trust Bank Commercial Finance.

Mark Gallimore, commercial director at Go Plant

The business – formed last year following Essential Fleet Services’ acquisition of Go Plant – provides a wide range fleet management solutions to both the public and private sector and has set a target to increase turnover by 35% by 2020.

The funding will help accelerate the firm’s plans, including to expand its national footprint by further investing in depots across the UK and acquiring outsourced fleet contracts in new regions.

Go Plant Fleet Services will also make strategic acquisitions that will increase its market share and boost its growing workforce, while also investing in IT infrastructure that will underpin the continued growth of the business.

The plans come on the back of significant expansion following the firms’ merger last year, including major investment in new technology, the opening of a string of new depots and the establishment of an owned spot hire fleet as well as investment in ‘back to black’ Beam sweepers.

Mark Gallimore, commercial director at Go Plant Fleet Services, said: “We’re committed to developing a business of quality and scale that will act as a ‘one-stop shop’ for the hire of specialist commercial vehicles and associated fleet management services, and we’re excited by the growth prospects available across our core markets.

“Secure Trust Bank worked hard to deliver a bespoke funding solution and we’re looking forward to accelerating our growth with the additional capital now at our disposal.”
