The move follows the opening of the group’s new 35-acre National PDI Centre at High Ercall in Shropshire, and will see Mellish talk to potential fleet customers about the productions and solutions that the group can offer them.

The company runs a network of car and commercial dealerships across Shropshire and the West Midland, including a number of different franchises covering Vauxhall, VW Commercials, Nissan, Ford, Volvo and DAF Trucks, as well as an extensive bodyshop network.

Mellish joined the group nearly three years ago as Ford commercial sales manager before becoming Ford dealer principal in Welshpool and Newtown – where he oversaw the establishment of a new Greenhous Ford Transit Centre.

He also previously served as a transport recruitment manager before spending six years working as a commercial sales executive for another Ford dealer.
