Harris Maxus spearheads plans for UK LCV market with new leadership team

Maxus UK, operating as Harris Maxus UK, has made strategic investments in its people, products and network to position the brand as partner of choice in the UK LCV market.

Andrew Lawson, new managing director for Harris Maxus UK

The commercial vehicle distributer has appointed Andrew Lawson as managing director. Bringing over 25 years of leadership experience, including senior roles at Mercedes-Benz UK and USA, Lawson is tasked with driving the brand’s expansion across the UK.

Michael Ward joins as aftersales director, delivering valuable experience from his previous roles at Mercedes-Benz Vans and TekCor4.

Brian Anderson, with 30 years of extensive service quality and technical expertise from Mercedes-Benz UK and Daimler Trucks, becomes head of service quality for the UK.

Katie Crawford, formerly network development manager at Mercedes-Benz Vans UK, has been appointed head of network development, focusing on working with both existing and prospective network partners.

Zoe Tonks, with 14 years as head of group corporate Sales at Marshall Motor Group, takes on the role of head of UK corporate sales.

Additionally, Kimberley Horsman has been appointed head of marketing, having previously held roles over the last 10 years within dealer networks.

The appointments reflect Maxus UK’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences, strengthening the dealer network, and supporting vehicle operations with best-in-class aftersales services. Lawson also complements the existing team who have driven the volume since 2020, including Bill Laidlaw and Frank Turner.

Maxus UK is also investing heavily in bringing its marketing functions in-house, enabling them to drive brand growth and deepen engagement with customers and partners. Looking ahead, Maxus UK is preparing to launch innovative initiatives in 2025 that will transform vehicle operations, enhance customer outcomes, and solidify Maxus as a leader in the LCV segment.

Maxus is also partnering with a number of white-labelled solutions to support the current industry transitions.

The business also says it’s well set up to meet the ZEV mandate and is overachieving in terms of EV target, thanks to “weaponising the vehicle, charging and customer data to confirm which vehicles and operations are ready for the transition from ICE to EV”.

As Harris Maxus UK, the primary goals are to be the most attractive franchise and the partner of choice for UK businesses.

Brian Patterson, group managing director, said: “We are in a strong position to lead the market with our innovative approach and dedicated team.”

Andrew Lawson, managing director of Harris Maxus UK, added: “The enthusiasm and skillset of the people joining us are truly remarkable, and I am thrilled about the future of Maxus.”
