Herd Group bolsters customer care promise with FMG deal

Herd Group has signed up FMG for accident management services to support its contract hire and vehicle rental business and fleet management solution.

The FMG deal provides a 24/7 accident management solution for all Herd vehicle hire and Herd Connect fleet management customers

Herd provides vans for corporate and retail hire, as well as an end-to-end fleet management service, and prides itself on an exceptional customer service ethos.

The tie-up with FMG provides a 24/7 accident management solution for all Herd vehicle hire and Herd Connect fleet management customers – enabling round-the-clock incident support, including a ULR service to recoup uninsured losses following non-fault accidents.

Nigel Schroder, CEO at Herd Hire, said: “We provide a versatile and scalable alternative to contract hire and leasing, and work with every customer to consider the specifics of their requirement – from wheelbase to decals, tow bars and internal racking requirements; we tailor-make a bespoke service that suits their needs exactly. It’s unfortunate when incidents occur in a hire van, but by partnering with FMG we can ensure every customer gets instant access to all the support they need and can remain mobile with minimal inconvenience.”

Andrew Chandler, sales director at FMG, added: “Herd Hire provides exceptional customer care and we are delighted to support them with an accident management solution which is every bit as flexible and customer-focused as their own hire policy and has been proven to provide the greatest control over incident costs.”
