Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS) has added six Ford E-Transits to its growing vehicle fleet with the help of Herd Group.
MTS, one of the largest tyre wholesalers in the UK, will test the all-electric vans on a two-year long-term rental deal from Herd. The partnership supports its corporate social responsibility commitment to improve and prevent pollution.
Micheldever group procurement manager Bex Smithson said the addition of six vehicles was “great news” for the business.
She added: “The initial consultation with Herd involved a deep dive into our business plans and a review of the average miles covered, driving styles, journey types and charging requirements – allowing Herd to advise the best integration plan to suit our business needs.”
Herd Group provides a range of fleet solutions, from fleet management, through to flexible vehicle rental and remarketing, under the Herd Synergy banner. The business is focused on helping to support an easy transition to an electric fleet.
Its solution for Micheldever included onsite charging, tracking and fleet maintenance with Herd Connect, and a flexible rental solution to totally suit Micheldever business needs – achieving optimal vehicle utilisation whilst cutting emissions.
