Herd Group to transform commercial vehicle rental experience

Van hire specialist Herd Group is rolling out a new platform, designed to transform the commercial vehicle rental experience.

The new ‘Control Your Herd’ platform is configured to provide a solution across all touchpoints for the customer, ensuring a seamless vehicle rental experience

The new ‘Control Your Herd’ platform allows customers to complete the full cycle of the rental process contactless by online bookings and via a mobile app. It’s configured to provide a solution across all touchpoints for the customer, ensuring a seamless vehicle rental experience, whilst significantly cutting the amount of time needed to rent a vehicle.

Nigel Schroder, Herd Group CEO, said: “Control Your Herd will accelerate sophisticated rental bookings in the UK. It is the only all-in-one software that digitises vehicle rental, management and operations and will completely revolutionise the vehicle rental sector.”

It’s been developed in partnership with mobility-tech company Coastr, whose platform utilises connected vehicle technologies for automating and digitising operations for the rental industry; its all-in-one rental platform has been recognised globally.

Biswajit Kundu Roy, Coastr CEO, said: “We are truly excited about working with Herd Group as their Technology and Innovation partner, due to our shared vision of enabling vehicle rental businesses to take more control over their destiny (and their ‘Herd’). Their commitment to delivering the best for their customers, complements our commitment to constant innovation that delivers new-age digital experiences and security across all types of vehicle rentals.”

The new platform is the latest development from the Herd Group, which has also recently introduced new features and benefits including DVLA driver checks, fleet movement & driver scheduling, competitor pricing management and keyless entry.
