Hubbard Products introduces latest improvements to refrigeration systems

The 390 and 460 series have been redesigned to incorporate high-efficiency, standby scroll compressors, improved airflow design through the condensers and evaporators, larger condenser coils to deliver constant duty and a common footprint across both models for ease of installation.

For freezer applications, Hubbard’s latest evaporator now include drain tray heater mats as standard and improved inner design with single and twin fan models featuring internal baffles to ensure maximum performance at all times.

The VCA, EMC approved condenser units are housed in Hubbard’s windcheater, single-piece shell held with quick-release fasteners, allowing ease of access for maintenance; one of the contributing qualities of the units.

Single-phase standby models now include compact scroll compressors, to improve efficiency and reduce electrical consumption with minimum noise pollution, a crucial requirement for vehicles delivering within urban environments.

The 390 and 460 condenser ranges both pull down to -25°C and can be mounted either as rooftop or bulkhead units for fresh or frozen applications. Using Hubbard’s Twice dual temperature system, two independently controlled temperature zones can be generated allowing separate load spaces to be created without the risk of cross-contamination. The TWice system uses a Hubbard Products’ in-cab digital controller with an optional datalogger.

The direct drive 390 and 460 condenser units use standard Hubbard automotive engine mounting kits.

Jed Sherwood, Hubbard Transport – regional sales manager, commented: “By sharing the same footprints, these new models make it easier for vehicle body builders and transport operators to specify refrigeration units with confidence. Using a standard platform ensures consistency of performance in a single brand name. Energy efficiency, reduced carbon footprint and low environmental impact are high on the vehicle operator’s list of key factors when choosing a refrigeration system, Hubbard can offer all of these benefits supported by a full nationwide service organisation.”
