Hudson Kapel (HK) has made a £3.5m investment in refurbishment and remarketing facilities across its three sites in a move to expand capacity within the UK fleet sector.

The investment introduces a range of technology-driven enhancements, including a new digital live auction and salvage platform designed to offer greater choice and transparency for both buyers and sellers.
Latest 360-degree imaging systems, capable of capturing commercial vehicles, have also been installed to improve accuracy and speed in vehicle assessments. New green rooms are streamlining preparation and inspection workflows, while an upgraded workshop management system is helping to reduce delays and improve operational efficiency.
Simon Withey, director of the Hudson Kapel group of companies, said: “The new investment by HK is designed to provide industry-leading workflows that will reduce the time between defleet and remarketing. We’ve completely reinvented the process, stripping away the bureaucracy and bloat that has crept into the industry.
“Our customers tell us they value the choice we provide in the sector, and we provide an invaluable benchmark to assess the wider refurbishment and remarketing effort. HK has ambitious growth plans, and we’ll do this by redefining expectations in the sector.”
HK serves customers nationwide from three sites across the UK in Thurleigh, Worcester and Throckmorton. It operates 75,000 sq. ft. of workshop space and 61 acres of vehicle storage.
The company has long-standing partnerships with major rental, leasing and corporate fleets stretching back over two decades.
