Imtech UK awards deal for 1,100-strong fleet to ALD

The contract was awarded to ALD through a competitive tender managed by ERA Fleet Cost Management Ltd (ERAFCM), which has been appointed by Imtech UK to review the policy, procedures and associated costs of over 1,100 vehicles within its fleet.  

ALD will supply Imtech UK with a fleet of company vehicles covering both vans and cars, along with support services including accident management and ALD’s “threesixty” web portal.

ALD and ERAFCM will also work in tandem to help Imtech UK effectively and efficiently manage its fleet operating costs. 

Jim Goodhead, group supply chain director, at Imtech UK, said: ‘We appointed ERA Fleet Cost Management to review the market on our behalf utilising their expertise to drive efficiencies and engage the best partner for our varying fleet requirements. Following an extensive tender process ALD were identified as our preferred supplier as they could provide us with the vehicles we required along with a range of associated first-class support services, which will help us effectively manage our operating costs.’

Mel Dawson, managing director of ALD Automotive, said: ‘The four-year agreement between ALD and Imtech UK highlights their confidence in our ability to deliver a fully outsourced fleet management solution. The combination of ALD Automotive’s account management team and our in-house systems development will ensure that all of Imtech Group’s objectives for managing their fleet are achieved.’

The deal comes as ALD appoints former Nissan LCV manager Matt Dale to help grow LCV offering, as the firm continues it multi sales strategy into 2014 and beyond.
