Ingersoll Rand slashes fleet incident rates 20% under FMG contract

The three-year deal covers the 336-vehicle fleet across the UK and Ireland, with a number of techniques used to drive down risk, including driver training. When incidents do occur, FMG will expertly manage the claim to ensure vehicles are repaired to a high standard and returned to a road-worthy condition as efficiently as possible.

Paul Holmes, FMG’s strategic account director responsible for risk, said: ‘As part of FMG’s unique “prevention is better than cure” proposition, we’ve developed a range of services to help eliminate risks from fleet operations. Ingersoll Rand are a large, respected business, and ensuring their vehicles are on the road and ready to meet customer needs, is something we’re looking to ensure. We’ve worked with the business to help implement our risk reduction plan, and explain the clear benefits to the whole company.’

Neil Physick, HR services manager of Ingersoll Rand, added: ‘The holistic approach FMG takes to managing incidents was very important to us. FMG have tailored a bespoke risk solution to our fleet, which meets our needs and addresses the unique challenges of our industry, and the benefits are already showing. The flexible approach that has been adopted recognises that no two fleets are the same and therefore cannot be treated with a “blanket” plan.’
