Intelligent Telematics to showcase vehicle camera at VanExperience LIVE

The company will be demonstrating its IT1000 3G forward-facing camera – said to be the most advanced vehicle camera solution currently available – at the event, which is being held over two consecutive weeks in June at Prodrive’s circuit in Warwickshire.

The IT1000 combines video, telematics and 3/4G technologies to capture and transmit footage of accidents and other harsh driving events in real-time, with accuracy and camera technology that is said to be 16 times more powerful than existing solutions. Unlike other vehicle cameras that only record to an in-device SD card, the IT1000 transmits footage of accidents and near misses via a secure 3/4G private network to a web-based interface with real-time email and SMS alerts, so a triggered event can be viewed within minutes of it occurring.

Sam Footer, head of international business and strategic development at Intelligent Telematics, said: ‘Our latest camera solutions not only reduce the severity and frequency of vehicle fleet insurance claims by enabling operators to respond quickly and effectively to accidents, but also help modify driving styles and minimise potential fleet risks.

‘Fleet operators and insurers alike are increasingly embracing 3G Vehicle Camera technology in order to achieve immediate claim intervention and benefit from the recognisable costs savings that are derived from implementing this technology. We are pleased to be demonstrating these industry-leading solutions at VanExperience LIVE, while offering guidance and advice to the attending fleet decision-makers.’
