The contract includes the provision of around 60 vehicles on contract hire over the next three years and will also see JCT600 VLS, the specialist leasing and fleet management division of Bradford-based JCT600, manage Intertrain’s grey fleet, handle its driving licence checks, provide an external tracker system and supply fuel cards.
Based in Doncaster, Intertrain delivers a wide range of consultancy and railway professional services and has over 40 trainers and assessors who run nationwide training courses. Its fleet of Volkswagen cars and vans will be used by personnel travelling around the UK to deliver courses at its training centres and on site.
Michael Godridge, financial manager at Intertrain, said: “We started using JCT600 following a period of growth where a number of vehicles were required. As a business, we do not have an internal fleet controller and JCT600 was able to competitively supply and provide a package of services matched to our requirements, ensuring we were meeting our legal obligations.
“Having a single point of contact, who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their role, takes away the usual pressures when sourcing vehicles. I generally only need to make one phone call and will have all the necessary information to make the correct decision.”
Paul Walters, sales director at JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions, commented: “In recent months, we’ve seen a string of new contract wins, thanks to the hard work and expertise of our team. This is great news for JCT600 VLS as we continue to move forward and realise our growth plans.”
