Woodmen UK Ltd is using a new 17-plate Isuzu Grafter 3.5-tonne rigid as part of its work on arboricultural projects.
Supplied by local dealer Warrington Vehicle Centre, the Isuzu Grafter chassis has been specified with a purpose designed tipping body that incorporates a wood chipper and tooling pod, as well as a range of working lights at both the rear of the truck and above the tooling pod for night-time work.
The tipper body specification echoes that of an Isuzu D-Max pick up which went into service last year and was also supplied by Warrington Vehicle Centre.
“The Isuzu Grafter is absolutely fantastic, its build quality is superb and the vehicle is definitely built to last. The compact overall footprint of the vehicle is much narrower and shorter than its predecessor yet it can carry over 2.5 times as much payload,” said Mike Roberts, financial director at Woodmen UK Ltd.
Roberts added: “Without doubt, the Isuzu Grafter is totally fit for our purpose. It is easy to drive and the all-round visibility from the cab is excellent. We couldn’t ask for a better vehicle to operate on our arboricultural projects.”
