Isuzu signs D-Max supply deal with Glendale

Speaking about the deal, Fleet Operations manager for Isuzu, Alan Able, said: ‘It’s very gratifying that Glendale has chosen the D-Max for its vehicle of choice, as we know it has very high expectations when it comes to the quality, reliability and economy of its fleet. Thanks to the D-Max’s outstanding extended warranty coupled with increased fuel economy of 38.7mpg, this is one of several D-Max fleet deals secured in recent months, with many more in the pipeline.’

Explaining Glendale’s reason behind the choice to purchase the Isuzu pick-ups, Mark McKinnon, company engineer at Glendale, said, ‘Due to winning a recent tender with Western Power Distribution, Glendale contacted Isuzu with the prospect of the deal, but with a very short lead time.  The whole process has felt like more of a partnership from day one and everything has been delivered in the most professional way. The vehicles have been prepared to our specification at a very high standard, including corporate wrapping and decals, Chapter 8 decals and lighting, off-road wheels and tyres, PDI and road registration.

‘The investment into our fleet is in line with our commitment to ensuring maximum efficiency and safety, coupled with minimum environmental impact.’

The Isuzu D-Max is available in three body styles – single, extended and double cab – with prices starting from £14,749 (CVOTR) for the entry-level single cab 4×2, rising to £25,995 (CVOTR) for the range-topping Isuzu D-Max Blade Auto. The Isuzu D-Max is fitted with a super-efficient 2.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, producing 163 PS and 400 Nm of torque, is able to tow a class-leading 3.5-tonnes (braked) while still returning fuel economy of 38.7 mpg (combined), and is available with a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.

Every Isuzu D-Max sold in the UK comes with the company’s pioneering five-year / 125,000-mile warranty, as standard.
