Along with using the core r2c Online platform, Isuzu has integrated i2i throughout its dealer network to further streamline operations and to keep up with the differing requirements of its customers. Over 10,000 fleets currently use the r2c Online system, which was launched at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2015.
Nick Walls, managing director of r2c Online explained; “The ability to switch to an electronic method of pricing, authorising and invoicing SMR work not only saves 75% on the cost of processing every invoice, but also cuts downtime considerably and streamlines processes for both repairers and fleets. The i2i tool delivers a wide range of services such as increased workshop throughput, automated authorisations, easily distributed service information and pre-reconciled, accurate invoicing.
“i2i has allowed Isuzu to incorporate and keep up to date, all parts files along with labour time guides, which has helped structure servicing and repair jobs for the dealers. The ability, in real time, to monitor from receipt of vehicle right through to invoice payment and measure individual vehicle costs against a plan is a very welcome benefit.”
Now three months into using the system, Isuzu has reported a positive impact on fleet management operations; “We are already seeing the benefits in time saving and the greater flexibility to manage many more aspects than we were previously able to," commented Tony Parker, Isuzu's repair and maintenance manager. "Together with ‘Inspect’ and the service planner, the i2i platform is a very formidable package. It is ideal for our needs today and will grow with us as technology, compliance and vehicle product changes occur."
