Iveco Daily vans to support expanded fleet at Geotechnical Engineering

Gloucester-based Geotechnical Engineering is adding six new bespoke Iveco daily vans to its fleet, helping to support its specialist drilling work.

The new vans are being supplied and maintained by South West Truck & Van

The company carries out ground investigations for utility providers and the construction industry and gathers data via topographic surveying and utility tracing to intrusive ground investigations in the UK and across Europe.

The new vans are being supplied and maintained by South West Truck & Van (SWTV), drawing on its new site in Ashville Industrial Estate in Gloucester, and feature a number of conversions to ensure they’re fit for purpose.

George Ashwell, area sales manager at SWTV, said: “The Iveco Daily 7T vans offer a significant payload of 3.5-tonne and have been designed with bespoke racking and safety features to transport Geotechnical Engineering’s specialist drilling equipment to site.

“We worked closely with Vehicle Accessories in Bristol who built compartments for different pieces of equipment, added beacons and strobe lighting as well as sensors on the front bumper to ensure they meet FORS safety requirements.”
