Iveco eDaily to make UK debut at 2023 CV Show

Iveco’s new eDaily electric LCV will receive its UK premiere at this year’s CV Show, showcasing how it can provide a reliable and cost-effective zero-emission solution for urban delivery vans.

2023 CV Show visitors will be able to get up close and person with the eDaily

The “electric twin” of the conventional Daily, the eDaily retains its rugged truck-based chassis, 3.5-tonne towing capacity and extensive range of body types, but throws in fully electric operation too. It’s also currently the only eLCV on sale to provide a 15kW ePTO and potential applications include tippers, chilled and refrigerated box vans, ariel platforms and more.

The eDaily can be equipped with one, two or three batteries, each providing 37kWh. Driving range stands at up to 248 miles WLTP and the eDaily can take a rapid charge of up to 80kW.

It’s protected by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty for vehicles with one battery, or 155,000 miles with two or three batteries. A three-year or 100,000-mile chassis warranty accompanies the 2XL Repair and Maintenance package included for all models.

Mike Cutts, Iveco’s light business line director, said: “The CV Show is the perfect place to launch the eDaily and let people interact with the vehicle for the first time. This all-electric model is a real statement for Iveco, highlighting that an EV needn’t mean compromise. With the unique characteristics that this vehicle offers the eLCV sector we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to our stand and getting the opportunity to explain them face to face.”

Iveco is also advancing collaboration with bodybuilders to ensure the eDaily chassis-cab is optimised for conversions.

The standard model is already popular with bodybuilders and converters, and the eDaily chassis-cab has been designed for optimum adaptability. More than 22 accredited body builders already have access to detailed technical drawings of the eLCV, enabling them to take full advantage of features such as the 15kW ePTO onboard power in both electrical and mechanical options.

Mike Cutts added: “We have received inquiries from just about every sector with all keen to explore what’s possible with an eDaily chassis. With its class-leading onboard power options, it is a great solution for ‘blue-light’ vehicles such as ambulances that require high levels of energy to power lifesaving equipment and passenger tail-lifts.”

The eDaily can be ordered from IVECO’s nationwide dealer network. To see it in person, visit the Iveco stand at the 2023 Commercial Vehicle Show, 18-20 April at the Birmingham NEC.
