Iveco expands Daily Driveaway line-up with trio of new bodystyles

Iveco has added a further three new Daily 3.5-tonne options to its existing Driveaway line-up.

  • IVECO DRIVEAWAY PR WELFARE VAN
  • IVECO DRIVEAWAY PR 3.5T CURTAINSIDE
  • IVECO DRIVEAWAY PR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT CAB

The programme offers a range of competitively priced, fully bodied vehicles ready for immediate delivery – and now gains new curtainside, traffic management cab and welfare van options.

As with all Driveaway vehicles, the new arrivals are developed with a selected range of partners but priced as a complete vehicle and with the same Iveco warranty as the base vehicle.

They’re also ready for immediate delivery, subject to availability, and come complete with a 2XL Planned Maintenance Package, helping to keep ownership costs predictable for operators.

The traffic management cab is built in collaboration with Brit-Tipp and comes with a dropside body-integrated sign rack, conewells and sliding access panel.

The 3.5-tonne curtainside joins the existing 7.2-tonne model and is designed for cargo volume and easy access. It’s built in collaboration with Bodywork Solutions and features two rows of internal lashing bars as well as barn rear door. The body’s anti-slip floor surfacing is made from recyclable thermoplastics, now also available on the 7.2-tonne model.

The welfare van is able to seat seven occupants and also comes with a sink area and hot- and cold-water tanks, a 400W microwave, hot water boiler and toilet facility.

All three are powered by the Daily’s 136hp diesel engine, paired with a new manual transmission featuring a clutch said to be 18% more durable than its predecessor. Gearbox oil changes are extended to 350,000km (c.217,479 miles).

All Driveaway models are based on the ‘Business’ trim level, which includes manual air con, cruise control, front fog lights and electrically heated door mirrors as standard.

Iveco is now also constructing all new Driveaway Daily box vans with thermoplastic Omnia panels, which are lighter than their conventional counterparts due to being made from 20% recycled materials and completely recyclable, benefiting both payload and sustainability.

Iveco’s UK light business-line director, Mike Cutts commented: “The Driveaway programme has proven exceptionally popular, giving businesses a product that’s ready to hit the ground running. These new additions will bolster and already extensive catalogue.”
