The FTA’s Van Excellence scheme aims to help raise compliance levels across the sector by setting high standards and sharing best practice.

Van Excellence was launched in 2010 to promote high standards of van operation and driving by accrediting operators against an industry code of good practice.

The courier firm, which has a fleet of 350 vans across 14 depots, was awarded for demonstrating high standards and excellent compliance management.

James Hall, director of J M Hall Couriers, said: “We are very proud to have achieved Van Excellence accreditation, showing that we take our corporate responsibilities extremely seriously and setting an example to others in the industry in order to drive up standards.”
