Jaama reports business opportunity wins at 2014 Silverstone Fleet Show

Held last month at the world-famous Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, the event saw Jaama showcase its recently launched comprehensive driver risk profiling tool that is available within its core Key2 product range.

Following the Show, Jaama has already held follow-up meetings with 10 potential new clients.

Managing director Martin Evans said: ‘The 2014 Fleet Show was a great success for Jaama. The event provided excellent networking opportunities with existing and potential customers.

‘We have already held discussions with a number of potential customers and we have further meetings planned with those organisation as well as exploratory talks with other fleet decision-makers who visited our Show stand.’

There was significant interest from stand visitors in Jaama’s Key2 Risk Profile module which provides a holistic view of driver risk and integrates with the DVLA licence checking service, which is also available from the company.

The Key2 Risk Profile module provides fleet departments, fleet management companies and contract hire and leasing companies with the flexibility to configure their own driver risk definitions which can be weighted by factors such as: driver age, road traffic accidents, business miles per annum etc.

The weighting points associated to each area can then be accumulated to produce an individual driver total risk profile score according to the company’s risk criterion. The score is stored against the driver record and intelligently linked by the system to an associated licence checking frequency dependant on risk.

Notification e-mails can be scheduled to be sent to individual managers, for example line managers and depot managers will want to know if a driver moves into a new band rating which could prompt action to be taken. The movement between bandings could for example change a drivers’ status from authorised to unauthorised, increase the frequency of licence checks or flag the need for training.

Evans said: ‘As was demonstrated at the Fleet World Fleet Show through enquiries on our stand driver risk management remains high on the agenda for businesses. We were able to show how our enhanced Key2 module delivers the flexibility to truly analyse the safety of every single driver against pre-set parameters allowing employers to then implement an action plan to mitigate any perceived risks.’

At the Show Jaama sponsored refreshments, which included visitors being given Jaama branded chocolate wafer biscuits to have with their tea or coffee.

And Jaama stand visitors had the opportunity win two one kilogramme Easter eggs in a “lucky dip” competition. The lucky winners were Steve Johnson of Burnt Tree Vehicle Rental and Simon Hill of Lancaster Cars.
