KCOM awards fleet safety deal to VisionTrack

KCOM, one of the UK’s longest-established communications services providers, has signed up VisionTrack as its safety camera partner.

VisionTrack will fit KCOM’s 180-strong fleet with front- and rear-facing cameras using ADAS functionality to enhance driver safety

The five-year deal will see KCOM’s 180-strong fleet fitted with front- and rear-facing cameras with ADAS functionality to enhance driver safety and reduce incidents.

The solution also includes access to NARA, VisionTrack’s AI-powered video analysis tool.

Winner of the Innovation in Risk Management title at the 2023 Great British Fleet Awards, NARA revolutionises how vehicle camera footage is assessed, automatically removing false positive events and monitoring driver behaviour. This enhances duty of care, improves driver welfare and rapidly improves FNOL timelines.

Matt Munford, fleet manager at KCOM, commented: “We were impressed with the team’s approach to our current challenges and their technology speaks for itself. Our drivers will benefit from the in-cab warnings on the ADAS events and having access to NARA will allow us to review only the meaningful videos so we can spend more time on the areas that will help us keep our drivers safe.”

John Crawford, head of strategic accounts at VisionTrack, added: “We’d like to welcome KCOM and are looking forward to working with the team to help them meet their road risk strategy. Our aim is to always help fleets improve driving behaviours and general best practice, which will ultimately help keep our roads safer and save lives.”
