Logistics UK’s Transport Manager conferences have limited spaces left for fleet operators looking to ensure their compliance knowledge is up to date.
There are only two remaining live events to go – in Falkirk and Birmingham – and a virtual event in Logistics UK’s Transport Manager 2024 conference series, and anyone wishing to attend is being advised to book as soon as possible.
Each conference features a line-up of expert senior industry speakers, including presentations from the Metropolitan Police on dealing with serious collision investigations; sessions advising how to recruit and retain the best drivers and an opportunity to hear direct from the Traffic Commissioners, outlining their priorities for the year ahead and advising how to avoid non-compliance.
The one-day conference also includes a legislative round-up and compliance update, as well as sessions on General Safety Regulation (GSR) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the legal responsibilities of a transport manager, the revision of the Transport Manager CPC syllabus and transport managers in a connected and autonomous world.
This year’s bookings have exceeded all previous records in the event’s 24-year history, with almost 2,000 delegates having already attended or booked to attend this year’s series of conferences, which is sponsored by Brigade Electronics. In fact, there has been such demand for places that half of the ten venues in the series have been fully booked or oversubscribed, according to the organisers.
Transport managers are legally required to keep their professional knowledge up to date and ensure their operations remain compliant, making this a must-attend event for anyone responsible for vehicle fleets. Transport Manager is a recognised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) event, and attendees will receive a certificate evidencing their attendance.
Kevin Green, Logistics UK’s director of policy and communications, said: “I recommend that anyone who would like to follow the example of their peers and come along to a Transport Manager event should book as soon as possible, while we still have a few places left. For those who are unable to come along to one of the two remaining live events, Virtual Transport Manager, which takes place on Friday 29 November, still has some capacity.”
