LCV ‘sale of the year’ sees thousands raised as buyers battle for best buys

An auction event staged by Novuna Vehicle Solutions and Manheim Auction Services saw almost 250 buyers compete for £1.9 million worth of LCV stock – raising £7,600 for charity in the process.

LCV ‘sale of the year’ sees thousands raised as buyers battle for best buys

The annual sale at Novuna’s Trowbridge head office site on 5th July attracted in-person and online buyers from across the country keen to snap up the 150 premium LCVs on offer.

For the first time in the event’s nine-year history, every LCV listed came with a NAMA grading and representatives from NAMA were on hand to help buyers understand the scheme and how it can support their buying decisions.

Matthew Davock, director of Commercial Vehicles at Cox Automotive said: “This was a terrific event and I’d like to thank the teams from Manheim and Novuna for all their hard work in ensuring the day ran like clockwork and was great fun, and of course our buyers for their support. The presence of the team from NAMA was also a great addition and feedback on the new LCV grading scheme was overwhelmingly positive.”

“Buyers’ appetite for the stock on offer was clear from the first lot. By the close of proceedings, 94% of the lots had sold, with 98.6% of guide values achieved. Just under a fifth of those sold achieved over 100% of guide values. We also saw a repeat of last year’s dynamic, with 58% of the winning bids coming from a buyer in the room.”

Novuna Vehicle Solutions’ Dylan Thomas, auction remarketing manager added: “This was our ninth LCV sale event, and it matched the very best in terms of atmosphere and performance. I was amazed to learn that those attending had clocked up almost 5,500 miles to be there in person! Their dedication was rewarded with some great deals and a very healthy sum raised for our charity partner, Shelter. My appreciation and congratulations go to everyone involved.”

Manheim and Novuna each donated £25 to Shelter, for every vehicle sold and fundraising activities on the day saw attendees donate an additional £550. Shelter helps people in housing need by providing advice and assistance.
