Bill Laidlaw appointed LDV UK dealer development manager

The brand was relaunched in 2016 following Chinese giant SAIC’s acquisition of LDV in 2016.

The company is now hoping to grow its UK dealer network to a total of 60 over the next two years, spearheaded by Laidlaw.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the automotive industry, he joins from Bristol Street Motors in Stoke where he was the Ford commercial and business manager and was previously sales manager for new commercial vehicles at the Van Centre, Richmond.

Laidlaw commented: “I’m excited to join the LDV team and begin working with its extensive network of dealers throughout the UK. I’ve kept an eye on the brand since it was relaunched in 2016 and have been impressed by the demand it has generated. As a commercial vehicle it ticks all the right boxes and is something of an iconic brand amongst 21st century drivers.

“One thing all LDV dealers have in common is their willingness to go the extra mile to keep a vehicle’s downtime to a minimum. Round-the-clock after care service and a five year warranty make LDV the perfect choice for anyone who wants a high quality commercial vehicle that offers great value for money.”
