Legend Fleet Solutions is continuing its work to shake up the UK commercial vehicle industry with its van fit-out products, designed to be lighter, safer and more sustainable.
The company says it’s shattered the barriers of conventional van interiors thanks to its ‘stronger-than-plywood, yet lighter-than-plywood’ recycled floor and complete fit-up product range including linings.
Developed using latest technology and engineering techniques, its solutions work for all vehicles but especially EVs, helping to enhance performance and range.
This includes Vinci Construction Group, which is using both the Evolve slip-resistant floor and Econolite yellow doors to provide lighter, safer, and more sustainable products for its work vans as it electrifies the fleet.
Riverford Organic Farmers has also increased its productivity by switching from standard ply linings to the much-lighter Legend linings. It’s enabled the company to carry seven extra boxes of fruit per van, per day, leading to £1.75m in additional revenue over the course of a year, while also benefiting from easier cleaning for any fresh produce spillage.
Legend’s van flooring is made of 75% recycled material, backed by a secure supply chain and said to be truly sustainable.
Legend products have also been designed for extreme resilience, as shown at the 2023 CV Show, where the company used an actual axe with an actual professional axe thrower to provide a comparison to traditional plywood floors.
The claims have been backed up by Greenthumb Lawn Care, which deployed the flooring to enable daily transportation of its lawncare equipment and said it had proved “damned near indestructible!”
A growing number of vehicle fitters and conversion companies across the country are also partnering with Legend thanks to its crash-tested, no-drill flooring solution, which provides a firm foundation for high-quality vehicle conversions.
In electric vehicles, Legend’s lightweight flooring has also been shown to protect the batteries.
