The London EV Company (LEVC) is offering smart home charging solutions to customers of its electric taxis and commercial vehicles under a partnership with EO Charging.
Signed following the launch of LEVC’s first dealership in Glasgow as it looks to capitalise on increasing demand for commercial electric vehicles in the region, the deal will see EO support LEVC with the supply and installation of EO Mini Pro smart home chargers across Scotland.
Said to be the world’s smallest smart electric vehicle charger, the EO Mini Pro is designed and manufactured in the UK and is OLEV approved – allowing LEVC drivers to claim the UK government-funded ‘Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme’, thereby reducing the cost of installing a charger by up to 75%, while also enabling drivers to schedule charging and take advantage of off-peak energy tariffs.
Ryan Spillane, head of commercial sales at EO Charging, said: “Scotland introduced its first low-emission zone (LEZ) in Glasgow last year, a clear indication of the country’s commitment to reducing congestion and improving air quality. With plans being drawn up for low-emission zones in Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen – taxi and commercial vehicle drivers need to think carefully about the next vehicle they purchase.
“To support LEVC’s ambitions in Scotland, we’ve developed a network of EO trained and OLEV approved installers that will support new and existing owners with the installation of smart electric vehicle chargers. We’re honoured to be working alongside a fellow British manufacturer and creators of one of the world’s most iconic vehicles.”
