Lex Autolease was responsible for one in 26 UK vehicle registrations in 2016.

Driven by initiatives in commercial vehicles and increased take-up of personal contract hire, the funded fleet increased to over 353,000 vehicles in 2016, a year-on-year rise of 36,000 vehicles. Total customer assets grew 18% to £4.5bn.

The total 353,694 funded vehicles at the end of 2016 comprised 255,223 cars and 98,471 light commercial vehicles. Lex Autolease was also responsible for one in 26 registrations of the UK’s new cars and light commercial vehicles in 2016.

The firm said its continued growth has been driven by ongoing investment in developing its propositions and service offering to corporate customers, such as its improved online capability that facilitates the management of large fleets. Its multi-channel business also continues to see high penetration in both the SME and consumer markets, leveraging strong relationships with brokers and manufacturer brand partners.
