Local leasing firm drives Wales Air Ambulance’s success

The vehicles will be used by the charity’s commercial division to collect and transport donated goods. The helicopter rescue charity relies entirely on donations so the vehicles will play a vital role in keeping the 16 charity shops across the region well stocked.

Wales Air Ambulance commercial manager, Allan Devonald, explained: ‘With these vans we are able to provide a free collection service for furniture and other donated goods, which then go straight to our shops for sale. On average we make over 1,500 collections and deliveries each month, making the vans an essential part of our successful operation.

‘Keeping our overheads down is very important and, by working with the Days Contract Hire team, we have made the right decisions. Their personal approach made sure that the correct vehicles were selected for the charity.’

Director of Days Contract Hire, Aled Williams, added: ‘Our approach of considering whole-life costs, vehicle usage and company operations, is something we are proud to offer our customers. We are pleased that Wales Air Ambulance continues to use our services, helping ensure they make the most of every donation.’
