Logistics UK adds three new directors to board

Business group Logistics UK has appointed three new directors to its board, supporting its work to lead the sector in its post-pandemic recovery.

The new board directors will help Logistics UK continue its growth work

Louisa Hosegood, Simon Hobbs and Gavin Murdoch all bring extensive experience of the industry, gained in a variety of roles and transport modes.

Louisa Hosegood is currently strategy and transformation director for Bis Henderson Group and previously worked in senior roles with John Lewis Partnership, Marks & Spencer and Tesco Plc.  She is passionate about fit-for-future joined-up supply chains, and is central to developing innovative, customer-centric services across the Bis Henderson’s consulting, warehousing space and recruitment businesses.

Simon Hobbs has 35 years’ experience with organisations including DHL Supply Chain, CEVA Logistics and Kuehne & Nagel. He’s currently CEO of Kinaxia Logistics, one of the UK’s fastest-growing logistics businesses, which currently operates more than 850 vehicles and 2.7 million square feet of warehousing nationwide.

Gavin Murdoch joined DHL Supply Chain in 1996 in Northern Ireland and has subsequently worked in many of the company’s operations around the world. Now managing director of Network Transport Solutions at DHL Supply Chain UKI, he leads a team of cross-sector experts driving growth, efficiency and carbon reduction, as well as upskilling the next generation of employees.

The new arrivals will help support Logistics UK’s work to establish itself as a top three business group with government and other stakeholders. The group recently passed the milestone of 20,000 members and says it has ambitious plans for the year ahead.

President Phil Roe commented: “Over the past few years, Logistics UK has established a reputation for excellence, building a significant presence for the sector with parliament and other stakeholders. Alongside our existing expert board members, I am confident that our new directors will provide the challenge and impetus the organisation needs to continue its growth and deliver on its ambitious plans for the sector.”
