Global transport and logistics company Maersk is expected to see major savings on its daily rental costs and minor damage claims after switching to FleetEurope.
Under the new contract, several of Maersk’s UK divisions, including The Maersk Company, Maersk Line and Damco, will have access to FleetEurope’s fleet of over 400,000 vehicles available from more than 1,500 locations nationwide to support various ad-hoc mobility requirements. This includes LCVs, mainly group 1 vans, such as the Transit Connect, and is projected to save Maersk more than 13% on its annual rental expenditure.
The firm will also save thousands each year on damage claims and reduced administration through the use of FleetEurope’s De-Risk Light Damage Cover service – winner of the Innovation in Rental accolade in this year’s Fleet World Honours.
The service will be used across the company’s future rentals to ensure their drivers are covered in the event of any minor accidents, valued at less than £500 to repair. The cover includes damage to a vehicle’s bodywork, tyres, alloys and windscreen, as well as replacement keys and misfuelling call-outs.
The new contract with FleetEurope also provides Maersk with a dedicated account management team and an online booking system to manage its vehicles 24/7 from any location.
