Major Sky TV installer enhances fleet efficiency with Route Monkey

The Glasgow-based company, which celebrates a decade as an authorised Sky homes agent this year, carries out 3,500 Sky installations per month and has a fleet of more than 90 vans, with around 40 working on behalf of Sky.

Route Monkey has helped automate the management of its installers since 2012, building and maintaining the CRM system as well as providing integrated PDA technology to the engineers.

The system collates jobs as they arrive from Sky and helps Campbell & Kennedy allocate them to the right installers. It sends a daily schedule to each engineer’s PDA and enables data capture such as customer sign-off. This also provides the company with the capability to generate reports in real time.

Mairi Templeton, Sky sales director for Campbell & Kennedy, said: “A real benefit for us has been the adaptability of the system and the ongoing support we get from Route Monkey. Sky is a fast-moving company that is always breaking new ground. We need a developer which can keep up with this pace of change – and indeed help us to stay ahead of the curve.”
